News from Castle Combe Action Days

Castle Combe Circuit is pleased to announce its Action Day dates for 2012 and following a record year in 2011 the same successful format will be repeated.

Castle Combe Action Days represent a unique blend of club displays and all out track action.  For owner’s clubs they offer a chance to display your cars in the fabulous setting of the historic Castle Combe Circuit and for car owners the opportunity to experience circuit driving with the minimum of red tape and at great value.

The Action Day season opens on Saturday 28th April with the Spring Performance Car Action Day.  This opening event is usually the largest of the year offering performance car drivers one of the first track days of each new season.  With over 100 club representing just about every type of performance car applying for stand space and track passes, some great club and trade displays, some exciting special track sessions it appeals to an ever widening audience.

Classic and sports car fans are invited on Saturday 9th June for their own dedicated event.  For 2012 the cars of the show will be the Ford Cortina and MGB both celebrating their 50th anniversaries and after a pilot scheme in 2011 the new style Classic Club Parades are sure to be popular.  Classic car enthusiasts can also speak to the Action Day team at the Footman James Classic Car Show at the NEC on 11th, 12th and 13th November.  Find us in Hall 4, stand T110.

September is the busiest Action Day month with the Forge Motorsport Action Day on Saturday 8th September bring its own style and appeal to the Action Day calendar.  Forge Motorsport arranged displays from some of the country’s top tuning, performance and accessory suppliers including Scorpion Exhausts, Kenwood Hi Fi and the fabulous Drift Works cars and all promise a return plus some new initiatives that our enthusiastic partners at Forge Motorsport are proposing.

Closing the Action Day season for 2012 will, as always, be the MiniWorld supported Mini Action Day on Saturday 29th September.  Over the last 3 events we have celebrated 50 years of the cars production, 50 years of the Mini Countyman and in 2011 50 years of the Mini Cooper – so the theme for 2012 will be just a salute to this amazing British icon.  But owners of the BMW MINI are just as welcome with their own display areas and track sessions.
