Castle Combe Themed Days Shape Up

The Castle Combe circuit’s 2011 calendar will feature a number of changes and innovations, with themed race days and live TV coverage some of the most exciting.

Kicking off on Easter Monday, 25 April, an all-historic day is planned, followed a week later by the ‘Motors TV’ raceday on May Bank Holiday Monday. This will feature around 4 hours of live TV broadcast throughout Europe from cameras around the circuit. Each of the six championships will feature two broadcast races.

An all Japanese day is planned for the following Bank Holiday Monday, May 30 and a German weekend on June 18 and 19. August Bank Holiday Monday is ‘Top Marks’ day, where the likes of Porsche, Ferrari, Aston and Jaguar compete for points throughout the day to find the ‘top margue’.

Details of more ‘themed’ race days are being developed.

Add to this, the Castle Combe Racing Club’s first Sprint at the venue on April 2 and a new single venue stage rally in November and it’s clear to see 2011 is likely to be a memorable year at the popular West Country venue.
