Marcos Racing at Castle Combe - Easter Monday

The Classic Sports Car Club (CSCC) announces a one-off race for 4 and 6 Cylinder Marcos Cars competing for the ‘Presidents Cup’.
The race will take place at Castle Combe at the Spring Race Meeting on Easter Bank Holiday Monday , 25th April 2011. The 30 minute race is open to all 4 and 6 cylinder Marcos cars including Marcos GT and Mini Marcos . Amongst other Marcos cars that regularly run with the CSCC the Trans-XL Mini Marcos will also be racing.
On the same day the ‘Castle Combe open GT’ race will include a class for all Marcos V8-engined cars.
A freshly restored Mini Marcos will be on display on the CSCC’s stand at the Race Retro show in February to publicise the event.
Jem Marsh, founder of Marcos cars, is President of the CSCC and will be presenting the ‘Presidents Cup’ trophy in person. The official Marcos clubs will be supporting the event with their presence and a concourse d’elegance will be judged by Jem himself.
Owners of cars that may be eligible are requested to get in touch with the club.
This will be a unique chance to see Marcos cars in competition with each other with Jem Marsh in attendance at the famous Castle Combe circuit where the Mini Marcos entered it’s first ever race and won !
