Racecar revs up Castle Combe's sales drive
Castle Combe Circuit has harnessed the power of F1 to drive its new-look website to meet the huge growth in business over the internet from thousands of motorsport fans.
The popular Wiltshire motorsport venue has continued it’s association with Racecar, the leading motorsport and specialist automotive design agency - with clients covering all disciplines of motorsport - including 25% of the 2009 F1 driver grid.
Castle Combe Circuit decided to upgrade its website to cope with the increased business being generated over the internet, whether for race information, advance ticket sales or the purchase of driving experiences through its award-winning Racing School.
“When we commissioned Racecar many years ago to develop our first site the internet was in its infancy and was regarded as something of a novelty,” said circuit MANAGING DIRECTOR Graham Marshallsay.
“But today it is a major force which allows businesses to operate 24 hours a day throughout the year, and a company is judged on the quality of its website and the service that it provides,” he said.
“Most homes now have broadband and we need to keep pace with what is now a global marketplace.
“The internet is now one of our key sales and marketing tools as well as providing a invaluable source of information for motorsport fans and other enthusiasts.
“To cope with the vast expansion in use we needed to step up a gear and called on Racecar, to upgrade our online presence to reflect our increased commitment to the medium.”
